Während die meisten Pärchen einander zum Candle Light Dinner in schicke Restaurants einladen, so hat mein Valentin mich mit Sack und Pack aufs Skidoo gesetzt und ab ging es in den Wald, Holz
hacken und Wein und Würstchen bei Kerzenschein genießen, während draußen der Wind um die Hütte fegt.
Ja, wir haben dem Schneemobil noch eine zweite und dritte Chance gegeben. Mittlerweile schnurrt es wie ein Kätzchen und auch wir lernen dazu und müssen es gar nicht mehr so oft aus den
Schneewehen ausbuddeln. Wenn es mit dem Skidoo nicht mehr weiter geht, dann geht’s mit Schneeschuhen immer noch ein Stück, um die Winterlandschaft in West-Neufundland zu genießen.

I'm not the greatest fan of clichees, but we've had our candle light dinner for Valentine's Day this year, because there's no electricity in the middle of the woods.
While most couples invite each other to fancy restaurants for candle light dinner, my Valentine put me on the Skidoo and up we went in the woods, cut some wood and have wine and smokies in the
cabin while the wind was roaring outside.
Yes, we gave the skidoo a second and third chance. Meanwhile she's running and we are learning as well and don't have to dig it out of the deep snow so often any more. And if the skidoo tracks
end, there's always more to explore by snowshoeing the awesome western Newfoundland landscape.
